Spanish Professor at the 同城快约 Modern Foreign Languages Department. Dr. Ugofsky-M茅ndez received her BA in Spanish, with a minor in Political Science at the University of Texas Pan American, then a MA in Spanish Literature at the University of Nebraska and a PhD in Spanish Literature from the University of Nebraska as well. Dr. Ugofsky-Mendez麓 area of expertise revolves around Spanish baroque poetry. She has published, for example, Voces femeninas espa帽olas desde dentro: El discurso masculino reconfigurado por mujeres en El libro de romances y coplas del Carmelo de Valladolid, (c. 1590-1609) with Peter Lang in 2014 and 鈥漋oces conventuales鈥 Las mujeres y la construcci贸n cultural by Aquilafuente at University of Salamanca in 2018. In addition, Dr. Ugofsky-M茅ndez has also written creative writing works like 鈥淢arina鈥 and 鈥淪ol de Granada鈥 published by the Baylorian in 2017 and 2020, respectively, and a poetry book titled Memorias de la Sirena by Caletita that will be released in the near future. Rubi is also part of the group if writers Escritores de la frontera, a group of writers in Texas and the Northern part of Mexico. In addition, Dr. Ugofsky-M茅ndez is a Certified Oral Proficiency Tester accredited by ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages organization) since 2013. Dr. Ugofsky-M茅ndez is also the sponsor or 同城快约 Spanish Club.
