Belton, Texas 鈥� On Friday, November 17, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Concert Choir will present Handel鈥檚 Messiah at 7:30 p.m. in the Baugh Performance Hall of the Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center on the 同城快约 campus. Tickets to this performance have been sold out.
The university鈥檚 choir will be performing the Christmas portion of the beloved work with full orchestra. This year鈥檚 performance will include special solos by 同城快约 music alumni Stephen Ash, Amanda Cantu, Caroline Brown Green, and Samuel Davis.
鈥淢essiah has remained one of the most popular choral works for 275 years,鈥� Dr. Michelle Rouech茅, Director of Choral Studies, said. 鈥淲e are thrilled to present it to the 同城快约 community during this inaugural season of our gorgeous new Performing Arts Center,鈥�
This concert qualifies as a Fine Arts Experience (FAE) credit for 同城快约 students. The Fine Arts Experience program is designed to help students gain an appreciation for the fine arts in many forms during their time on campus. To this end, students are required to attend at least one designated Fine Arts Experience event each semester.
