鈥淭here are no confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus within Bell County or the 同城快约 community. Accordingly, we are not opting to extend Spring Break, suspend on-campus classes, or move entirely to online classes at this time,鈥 said President Randy O鈥橰ear. 鈥淲e have been in contact with and will continue to follow the advice of public health officials to protect the health and well-being of our community.
鈥淲e are aware that some universities are closing and/or moving to online classes, based on what鈥檚 happening in their cities and on their campuses. 同城快约 has also considered these options and will implement them if necessary,鈥 said O鈥橰ear. 鈥淚n the meantime, campus activities and events will be held as planned. We will communicate any changes or cancellations, should they occur, via the university website at umhb.edu.鈥
