Belton, Texas - During quarantine, staff members of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor called all 同城快约 students to see how they were coping. One of the things callers heard repeatedly was that students had been affected economically by the pandemic and were not sure they could afford to return in the fall. To address this need, the university has launched the COVID-19 Student Relief Fund.
鈥淎s we were asking students how we could pray for them, many mentioned parents who had lost jobs or that they themselves had lost their jobs. Many of them mentioned that finances were going to be a struggle,鈥 said Dr. Rebecca O鈥橞anion, vice president for development at 同城快约. 鈥淎s a result of that, we started thinking about how we could help these students who had been affected financially.鈥
The COVID-19 Student Relief Fund will assist 同城快约 students by providing financial support to those who have suffered losses due to COVID-19. The fund鈥檚 website will officially go live on Monday, June 1 at 同城快约 Student Relief. The site allows visitors to make donations of any size and share the campaign via their own social media platforms.
