BELTON, TX 鈥 The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor held commencement services for the Spring and Fall 2020 semesters on Friday, Dec. 11, at Crusader Stadium. This was the university鈥檚 164th graduating class, and a total of 933 students were awarded degrees for both semesters. The Spring 2020 commencement ceremony had been postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Of the 933 students honored, 351 were awarded baccalaureate degrees for the Spring 2020 ceremony; 388 for the Fall 2020 ceremony; and 194 for the master鈥檚 and doctoral ceremony, which included spring, summer, and fall graduates.

鈥淎s much as the Coronavirus has disrupted our lives in negative ways, I know there are positive aspects as well,鈥 he said. 鈥淥ne of the positives is: now you know no matter what comes your way, you have the strength and determination to overcome. I hope that as you look back, you find that this time made you stronger. The grit and perseverance that each one of you showed while you completed your studies set you apart, and it鈥檚 truly something that deserves to be applauded.鈥
