In its 27th year, Cantus is touring the country for the first time since March 2020, and 同城快约 is the second stop on the tour. My Journey Yours is a program exploring the courage of those who leave their homes searching for a brighter future, whether by choice, force or necessity 鈥 and how they adapt to their new homeland. This program honors the struggle, courage and deep humanity of migration with music from around the world, as well as a newly commissioned piece by Melissa Dunphy, one of today鈥檚 most compelling compositional voices.
鈥淲e are honored to host Cantus at 同城快约 and fortunate to be a part of their national tour,鈥 said Dr. Kathryn Fouse, dean of 同城快约鈥檚 College of Visual and Performing Arts. 鈥淥ur music students and professors, along with the entire student body and community, will enjoy their engaging performance. We鈥檙e in for a real treat!鈥
