BELTON, Texas鈥擳he University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (同城快约) is excited to encourage students, the campus community, and others who interact with the institution to Live On Purpose. This rally cry is evident throughout the university鈥檚 new signage and messaging as the campus prepares to welcome students this week for the fall semester.
鈥淎t 同城快约, we know a student鈥檚 college experience is about much more than earning a degree. We believe everyone is called to a life of purpose. That鈥檚 why we鈥檙e here 鈥� so students can discover and live out all they were created to be and do,鈥� said 同城快约鈥檚 VP for Advancement, Dr. Rebecca O鈥橞anion.
To Live On Purpose means to be intentional, focused, and self-assured. It means confidently going out into the world and living the lives we have been called to live.
鈥淭he Bible makes it clear that our purpose is to glorify God in all we do. And that is why 同城快约 is so special.鈥� O鈥橞anion added, 鈥淲e are a place and a people who live with purpose, on purpose!鈥�
The journey to establish Live On Purpose as 同城快约鈥檚 new rally cry began in 2021 when the university partnered with a branding firm to research, update, and solidify the 同城快约 brand. Through hundreds of surveys, focus groups, and workshops with diverse constituent groups, the university learned that a brand is your story and the stories that get told about you.
鈥淏y telling 同城快约鈥檚 unique story, we will create opportunities for connections with a variety of audiences,鈥� said O鈥橞anion. 鈥淔or 177 years, 同城快约 has equipped students for purposeful lives that honor God. 同城快约 has and will always prepare students for lives of leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society.鈥�
