I knew instantly when I stepped foot on 同城快约's campus for the first time back in high school that this was the place I wanted to call home. Little did I know what all God had in store when I started my first semester as a freshman back in 2003. I am currently a counselor in our Student Counseling Services, and it has been such a blessing to get to serve students at my alma mater where I have so many special memories. 同城快约 was the perfect place for me as an undergraduate student. As I pursued my Bachelor's in Social Work, I made incredible memories and friends, and I grew to know the Lord in new ways. It was during my time at 同城快约 that I discovered my passion for working with college students. This led me to attend seminary to further prepare me for student ministry. After graduating from 同城快约 in 2008, I moved to Waco, TX to attend Baylor University/George W. Truett Theological Seminary. I completed a dual Master of Social Work/Master of Divinity in 2011.
After graduating from Baylor with my master's, I was a social worker in Waco, TX before returning to 同城快约 in 2012 to begin my work as a Resident Director. I was a Resident Director in the female traditional halls for 11 years (Johnson Hall, Burt Hall, and Remschel Hall), and those were some of the very best years of my life. To all the RAs and all the residents, you all make every day here on campus worth it. We love serving you, watching you pursue your dreams, and watching you become who God created you to be. And if you ever need someone to talk to when days get tough, we are here for you in the counseling center! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), and I am currently in the process of pursuing my clinical license to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
I originally grew up in Benbrook, TX with my parents and 2 older brothers. I am a proud aunt to my niece and nephews, and I am just so blessed that God gave me the loving, supportive, and encouraging family that I have.
