FERPA
Family Education Rights & Privacy Act
Release of account information
is a federal law that protects the privacy of students' education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under a program of the U.S. Department of Education.
- The Bursar's office cannot release information regarding a student's account to any person unless authorized by law or unless the student consents to the disclosure in writing.
- If a student would like to provide permission for the Bursar's office to discuss his or her account with another individual, he or she should fill out a available on the myCampus website.
- We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause when a FERPA release is not in place, but we appreciate your understanding and compliance with this important law, and we look forward to serving you in the future.
Return of Title IV Funds
If a student withdraws or stops attending class BEFORE 60% of a semester is completed, a portion of Title IV funds (federally funded financial aid - including loans) must be returned in accordance with U.S. Department of Education Regulations. This will result in an amount being owed to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor by the student.
If a student fails to earn a passing grade in at least one class, the student is deemed by the U.S. Department of Education to have unofficially withdrawn.
The student must provide evidence of participation in an academic-related activity after 60% of the semester to avoid return of Title IV funds. If no evidence of participation is provided, Title IV funds will be returned, and this will result in an amount being owed to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor by the student.
Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan
Texas Tomorrow Funds
The Bursar's Office will bill TGTP/Texas Tomorrow for our students. We appreciate a copy of your TGTP/Texas Tomorrow ID card, which can be faxed, mailed, or presented to us in person. TGTP/Texas Tomorrow is billed after the last drop date for the semester.
Please contact the Bursar's Office to receive an estimate of the amount your plan will pay, or visit for information regarding your plan benefits.
This amount will not be reflected on your financial aid award. When viewing your bill on MyCampus please deduct the anticipated TGTP/Texas Tomorrow payment from the amount due. Any balance after the expected TGTP/Texas Tomorrow payment is applied, is due before the start of the semester.
