360 Pro Wrestling returned to Central Texas this weekend, where they hosted their Bad Dog Bash in Belton's Johnny Boren Memorial Arena. The crowd was packed with fans eager to watch Hostage Hirsch face off with Tino Valentino, along with Kingcrawdaddy, who battled with Sodapop Hendrix. However, the main event of the night was an unsanctioned bullpen fight between 360 Pro Central Texas champion Thunderbird Damo McCullough and Heavyweight Champion SuperTex Brent Mckenzie, both bitter rivals.
Damo stated, "I've been fighting for a long time, and when I say I hate somebody, I don't really hate anybody, but Brent is about the closest I get to it.鈥 Both fighters made quite the entrance. Damo rode in on a horse and made a lap around the pin, immediately setting the tone for the fight. SuperTex entered through the bullpen, flaunting his heavyweight champion belt and puffing on a cigar.
The fight initially commenced in the ring; however, both fighters soon ended up in the dirt right next to the audience, where SuperTex threw Damo into the metal stairs next to the pin and later proceeded to throw a wooden chair over his back in an attempt to break it. The night took a drastic turn when both fighters started to make their way over to the livestock pin which held two 2,000-pound bulls, an aspect which 鈥渁dded a level of unpredictability鈥 according to McKenzie. Damo began to climb the livestock gate, and SuperTex followed soon after, where he received multiple blows to the head from a bullbell issued by Damo. Once inside the pin, SuperTex was thrown into a pile of manure by Damo and, at one point, had a rope strung around his neck in a noose-like fashion.
The fight soon turned bloody when both wrestlers began to make their way back to the arena, where SuperTex began to dig into Damos forehead with a horseshoe spur and punched the ref, Aaron Presley, President of 360 Pro Wrestling, in the face when he intervened for unsportsmanship-like conduct. The fight ended with Damo putting SuperTex in a Single leg Boston Crab, where he soon tapped out. Both fighters were left with many cuts and bruises. 鈥淚'm sore, disoriented, and might be concussed,鈥 said Mckenzie. In regards to the injuries Damo received, he stated, 鈥淚 think getting thrown into the steps hurt worse than getting cut with the spur.鈥
In a post-match interview, McKenzie stated, 鈥淚'm sure Damo is eyeing a title shot here in the near future, but he earned it tonight.鈥 However, Damo has declared the rivalry buried and has since challenged Brent McKenzie to one more match, stating, 鈥淗ow about one more Brent? How about one for his 360 Pro Wrestling Championship? Because if it was on the line tonight, I'd be your champion.鈥
