Welcome
Welcome to the 同城快约 Occupational Therapy Program! I am blessed to be the founding director of this Master of Science program at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Occupational therapy (OT) is a creative and client-centered profession in which practitioners help individuals of all ages engage in the everyday activities (occupations) that are meaningful and important to them. Through the use of meaningful activities, occupational therapists address motor, cognitive, sensory, psychosocial, and other challenges while capitalizing on individual strengths to promote participation in daily activities at home and in the community.
At 同城快约, the MS in OT degree prepares students to become excellent occupational therapists ready to engage in ethical, evidence-based, entry-level practice, leadership, scholarship and service. For example, one way we promote clinical excellence and service is through the Cru Community Clinic, our on-site teaching clinic for the underserved in our area. Our students also participate in regular community-based learning activities including Level I FW in emerging practice settings to prepare them for excellence beyond the clinic walls. These are just a couple of examples of ways we go above and beyond to provide our students with the best learning opportunities possible!
In addition to the above, the design and structure of our program promotes full engagement in the educational environment. The 同城快约 OT Program is intentionally structured to promote occupational and life balance. Students never take more than 14 credit hours per semester to ensure time for self-care, family, part-time employment, and ample time for studying in a still challenging but less intense learning environment. Our faculty all have an open-door policy and are ready to help you achieve the mastery needed to become a highly prepared occupational therapist ready to achieve your OT goals.
